Sunday Night Thoughts

Hmmm, seems like this weekend came by quick. Tomorrow's another new day. New week, new challenges.

This past Saturday was just a little lazier than usual for me. I will usually have a little Saturday project or two I want accomplished before Monday comes in. But Friday night I stayed up later than usual, and my husband was out of town and I didn't have to pick him up from the airport 'til Saturday night, so it made me feel a little lethargic all day Saturday.

Today, Sunday-- was a little different than Saturday though. I was a little fired up to accomplish a few things. First, we went to a new mom friend's house for her nine year old son's birthday party. We arrived late at the party, but most everyone I expected to see attending the party were still there. They were mostly friends from the moms group. My husband and I had a nice time, and my toddler certainly had a good time playing with the other kids there.

Coming home from the party, I was able to do a little more of my routines around the house-- laundry, clean up the kitchen, and I was able put away the last few Christmas decor in boxes. I made spaghetti for dinner, fed my lovable munchins and put them to sleep. Now it's after 10PM and I'm getting ready for the stuff I need for tomorrow.

I think I'm finally getting used to working full-time again. Some days are better than others of course. Like most of the things we all do.

Somebody once quoted as saying something like this: "In life, we are all jugglers. We juggle family, motherhood, being a wife...a career woman, anything. Whether you have two, three or ten responsibilities to juggle at one time, the key is to juggle with grace". I like that quote. It always reminds me of when I have to think of the many things I juggle everyday. And no matter what I do, my greatest joy always comes down to the three most important and most beautiful people in my life--my husband, my Gabriel, and my Jaden. My greatest treasures in the world. :)
