Keeping Up With Review Offers

I don't know if I mentioned before, but I must get at least 50 offers to review products and services on a weekly basis. So of course, I'm only one person, so I try and narrow the offers down to the ones that I know that I already use, would like to use or something my kids and family will enjoy.

Lately though, I noticed I am getting less offers on technology products- which I find interesting. When I first started Hip Mama's Place back in 2007, I got a lot of those offers. So I don't know if it's a trend or what, but they've become scarce. I love reviewing technology products like digital cameras, the latest phones and other tech gadgets so I am hoping that soon a major technology company will contact me again for digital camera reviews.

Anyway, my current digital camera works really good. Except that the other day I was trying to use it and I couldn't find the darn camera charger. Ugh. I gotta get more organized soon. I am noticing that whenever my house starts to get chaotic, I lose things.

So how is your week ending? Any weekend plans yet? Me? Still taking care of wedding stuff. We still got a few major things we have to take care of in the next 2-3 weeks. That should leave us 3 more weeks towards the big day to feel more relaxed and ready. :)

Back in Circulation...

Can't believe how long ago since I last posted on my personal blog. It's been crazy mad busy around the household for the last 2-3 months trying to prepare for our big day- yes, only 44 days away today! :)

I am terribly late with a lot of things right now- especially with my commitments online. I'm not a bridezilla. But at the same time, I want my dream wedding to go smoothly and make sure we got everything we need and that we are not stressing for stuff at the last minute. I can say for one thing, the online shopping is heaven sent for a busy mother bride like me, lol. Most of the stuff that we need for our wedding, I got them online. I don't have to go out and shop at the regular retail stores, I just work my magic computer mouse and voila, I get the things I need sweat-free! Plus, I even get to save more money using coupons like coupons. :)

Anyway, I hope you're all doing great. I need to keep posting until I get tired. :)

Freebies and Much More Blog

I started blogging three years ago and I am amazed at how many blogs have sprang up that feature freebies and fantastic giveaways since then.

One of the newest freebies blog that's worth checking out is Freebies and Much More. Check out the giveaways they're hosting right now, including links to giveaway sites that I didn't know even existed. Anyway, I am trying to win a $100 Amazon gift card giveaway there too. I hope I win. :)

Trying To Win $500 VISA GC For Wedding Stuff :)

Today I found a new mommy/frugal mommy/giveaway blog called: One Savvy Mom. Love the site and has lots of fab giveaways right now including a $500 VISA GC that I would really love to win.

One Savvy Mom

Our wedding is coming up in September and we honestly still need lots of stuff. Winning this GC would really help. So I'm crossing my fingers that I win. :)

Fitness Talks

Ugh. The dreaded subject: fitness. I honestly haven't been working out lately. Probably been two months now. I've gained five more pounds since then. So frustrating, especially that I'm supposed to look fit in my beautiful wedding dress come September.

So tomorrow I made a promise myself to start working out again. I like Pilates and kickboxing and a little bit of yoga. I work out at home 'cause right now I really can't afford a gym membership. Maybe down the road...I really need to lose fifteen pounds to look good again. Right now I don't even like buying nice clothes. I just don't really feel good about my body. :(

Needless to say, my coming wedding is a great motivator for me. So I'm more determined than usual. I might start running again too. That really helped me lose some weight when I did that last year. I just got to be disciplined. My main problem is my ab. Oh, gosh. My waistline is not looking sexy right now. I need an ab workout that really works, lol.

How about you? What do you do to get fit? How do you balance motherhood, work, blogging and fitness?

I'm Getting Married!

Yes, and I am not afraid to announce it to the whole world! :)

The big day is only about less than four months away. Yesterday, I finally ordered our wedding invitations and I am excited about it. In two weeks, we're sending them out to our guests.

Yes, this is the design I chose for our invitations.

The dress: I have a couple of choices for styles. But I seem to lean towards the off-the-shoulder dresses. I think they're simple and yet, elegant and sexy. I like the A-Line silhouettes. I'm petite and this style suits my figure the best, I think.

The colors: It will be coordinated with our wedding invitations which will have raspberry pink, orange and cocoa brown in it. So most likely, our wedding colors- flowers, wedding party and decor will be based on those colors.

Hmmm...first things first. So tomorrow I'm excited to go to the bridal boutique to try out a few dresses. Hopefully I'll find one that I like. This is the third bridal store I went to and honestly, I'd just would like to have a dress already so I can start working on the other details of the wedding. We're doing a semi-DIY, since we're on a budget. I'm crafty and like to put my own touches to everything I do- which makes it all doubly fun! :)

Anyway, so much about that. I want to be secretive, but I can't help but talk about it here, lol.

And oh, a friend had told me earlier about a barcode scanner she needs for her store. I gotta go check that out. I honestly have no idea.

I'm Back!

OMG. I can't believe it had been that long since I last posted here. My poor blog. If only it could talk, lol.

Anyway, how was you all's Memorial Day weekend? I had a really fun one with my honey and my kids. It was a little tiring, but all in all we had a blast. Virginia Beach is really a fun place to be if you want the beach and sun.

My kiddos were more interested playing in the sand, though. They're not really used to the beach just yet. They like their bubble baths better than the pool or the beach, lol. I guess they're still little. Maybe in a few years, they'll like the beach or pool more.

So much about our Memorial Day weekend. Tonight I got a lot of catching up to do with my 'review and contest blog', look into an epson receipt printer, plus our wedding planning. yes, we have a date and venue finally! But I'm not going to jinx it so it will be a surprise. I think it will be fab! We're so excited about it! Hint: the date is the last Saturday of September. Yes. This year. :)

So tell me how your Memorial Day weekend went.

A Few Thoughts...

How are you all, my dear blogging friends? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I had a quite relaxing one. I spent most of it running my errands, shopping, listing unwanted stuff on Ebay and creating new jewelry designs for Spring- which I'm excited to show in my Etsy shop by the way, as I will be working with a professional photographer for my new photos. Plus, I signed up for a basic class to learn how to use my DSLR camera better and take better photos! :)

So those are my excitement for the week.

Also, I need to make add-on purchases for my camera (such as a tripod and some new filters) and you know what that means: I need some new cash flowing in. Good thing I didn't have to buy a ps3 or any of those expensive gadgets for my kids yet. Right now, my focus is to try and improve my sales on Etsy. And I found out that one of the factors to get better sales is to show professional-looking photos of your stuff. So hopefully it will help with my sales. I have a few plans in my mind to make it more exciting! :)

Anyway, so are there any recent excitement you want to share this week? Come in and comment up! :)

Hello Monday!

Mondays are always busy for me. I am always in the office assisting with client calls and do paperwork for our family business. It's good though. It feels good to know I can help. Spring and summer are always the busiest seasons for our business.

Anyway, we had a relaxing weekend. We didn't have anything scheduled or have to go anywhere at a specific time. I wanted to go jogging for a bit in the park last Saturday, but some other things came up that had to be done so I didn't make it. I'm not trying to exercise again to build muscles or need bsn cell mass. I just need to get really firmed and toned and of course, lose about ten pounds.

Well, I guess I just have to keep trying everyday. I got me a few workout DVDs to review and test out this week so I'm excited about that.

So how was your weekend? Anything to share? :)

Cherry Blossoms Festival 2010

Last Sunday, we went to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossoms Festival. I loooove cherry blossoms. They were all beautiful and perfectly in bloom when we were there.

I wish it wasn't so crowded when we went, though. We wanted to get more photos of the beauty but it was just bumper-to-bumper crowded with peeps! Anyway, we still managed to take a few photos and I'm posting them here.

I also noticed there were a lot of trendy girls who wore colorful, trendy Spring dresses. I really wished I was thinner to wear dresses this Spring. I just feel fat right now. Oh, well. I guess I just gotta keep up with my workout every week. I won't resort to taking a diet pill yet. But I'm almost tempted, lol.

Anyway, I hope you're all enjoying the rest of your week! :)
