Great Playdate!

I really enjoyed getting together with the moms again today. The drive was a little far from the house, about 45 minutes total... in fact I got a little lost, lol. I am not familiar with Frisco at all. But it was my idea to try and meetup at this Wiggly Play Center. The place looked cool on their website. I wasn't disappointed or anything, but it just wasn't as big or as elaborate a play center as I imagined it to be. But Gabriel seemed like he had a good time there. Plus, I like exploring new places although I usually do it with hubby since he's always the driver. ;) But I know I have to learn to explore these unfamiliar places by myself sometimes. So overall, it was a good experience. I love chatting with the moms! :)

Hi Jocelyn. I, too, enjoyed chatting with the moms. I wasn't too crazy about the wiggly play center myself. My expectation wasn't met. I just don't get the 'socks required' deal. I could understand for adults but not for the kids. I mean, we are talking about kids who picks their boogers, drools, etc.. What's the deal with their feet!!! I don't mind paying for admission but it's a little pricey for a play area in which you can't access every bit of the whole area. They had all the rooms closed and then there is no separation between the toddlers and bigger kids in the mesh area. The place doesn't make sense to me. The whole time we were there, there was no live entertainment provided. One would expect that when you pay an admission fee, you'd see the aforementioned at least every one or two hours. I would rather go to chuckee-cheese and expect to have way more fun without the admission fee and maybe see a live entertainment....with better food!!!

Hi judi,

I know, right? I only said that it was a great playdate because I got to see you all (my mom friends!), but honestly I'm with you on being disappointed with the Wiggly playcenter. I had to pay $2 too, for me to wear socks to get into the toddler area. At least, with Gymboree Play, when you don't have socks, they provide it free. And yes, the admission is quite pricey for what you get--the rooms surrounding us were closed party rooms, really. It wasn't for regular customer access. So the whole time we were there, Gabriel would get inside those party rooms to watch the Wiggles playing on the TV's, but really that's about it. I did not like the fact also that there was no separation between the big kids and the toddler play areas. So definitely, we are not using this place anymore for future playdates!
But overall, I enjoyed the time getting together and chatting with you all! :)

You know, I had the same incident when I was in the Philippines visiting Star City(it's like Six Flags). There is this area where kids can play. The only bad part is that you have to have your socks on. Otherwise, the attendants will not let you in. I was shocked of course but what can I do my kids wanted to go in. You can either buy a pair of socks at a nearby small stall that sells all sorts of stuff or not go in the play area at all. I had to buy the pricey socks. I just cannot believe that it also happens here. :(

Wow Pinky, I thought it only happens here, lol. I also went to Star City back in 2004 but we mainly did the rides with the kids. ;)
