I Am Featured on The Mum Junkie

I am really getting worst at checking comments on my blog these days. You know how it has been really hectic for me lately.

Anyway, I got to get moving. I got about ten thousand things on my mind right now that I need to do (including checking out a baby announcements store). But hey, what's a few minutes of my sweet, precious time to give kudos to someone who has just made my day? ;)

Well.. this morning, while deciding to read this blog's most recent comments, I saw that Angie from The Mum Junkie featured Hip Mama Blog on her blog as one of three featured blogs that she does every month. What a wonderful surprise!

New Blog Makeover

Hello friends,

How do you all like my new blog header?

Guess what, Cathy over at My Design Workbench gussied me up. Wow, isn't it fabulous? Which suits me better now that I'm going to be a full-time working mommy again soon. Yes, I am going back into the workforce and I start in less than two weeks. Ugh. The challenges of motherhood and trying to earn a living. No hard feelings though. I love being a mom and I know it's not going to be easy trying to keep up a career alongside mommyhood. At the same time, I do have to pay the bills like everyone else.

Okay, so much for the new job. :)

So by the way, if you all need a new blog design makeover, contact Cathy. She is great at what she does and her prices are very affordable! :)

Been A Little Lazy...

I don't know if it's laziness or just the lack of motivation. But some days I just want to be easy on myself and forget about blogging.. even for a few days. I mean, not that I don't keep with the demands on my review blog. Just.. I'm having a little "blogging withdrawal" I guess- if there's even such a term.

Do you feel this way sometimes? I mean, some days I think blogging is cool. Other times I think I can do better with my time. No regrets though. Blogging has been great for me so far- extra money in my pocket with paid postings, tons of free stuff for my whole family, and most of all, the satisfaction that I get making my readers happy with all the giveaways I host every week on Hip Mama's Place. I mean, what else could I ask for? ;)

I can't say for sure if it's blogging that makes me feel a bit burned out these days. I guess the key is to take little breaks here and there. Speaking of breaks, I indulged myself with an absolutely sweet, sweet treat the other day. Guess what... I went to have a very relaxing, tingly-to-the-skin, feeling smooth-all-over aromatherapy body scrub and massage..ahhh... my whole body never felt soo good in a long time!

Now tell me if after reading this post, you weren't tempted to leave your Blogger account for a bit and Google the closest spa salon in your area (LOL). :)

Blog Commenting: Quick Way To Improve Blog Traffic

I like browsing through DoshDosh whenever I get a chance- when I need helpful tips to improve my blog and suggestions for increased blog traffic.

There's an article about blog commenting that caught my attention today. The writer wrote:

"A comment left on a popular blog may be viewed by a few hundred people in one day. Multiply that by the lifespan of the blog and you’ll see that a simple comment may say a lot about you. Every blog comment is usually permanent. It’s not just a hyperlink but a long-term representation of your brand."

So comment away on blogs, and see your own blog getting more new hits!

Blog Design Makeover

Hello dear blogging friends, how are you all this beautiful Monday morning?
It seems like the weekend just went by fast, didn't it?

Anyways, I'm playing around with my blog design right now- backgrounds and such, so if you see it look a little crazy here and there it's because I'm still trying to find what I'm looking for. Making it a little more fun and reflecting more of my style and something that will go with the current season.

I'm Launching A New Blog

Hello to all my blogging friends,

I'm excited to tell you all that my new blog is almost done and ready to launch in a few days. I have been busy developing it for about two months now and I'm pleased with the work I put in it. I had somebody help me design it also, but please watch out for it next week when I announce it. It will be exciting, but I may need your help with it.
I will let you all know. ;)

Blog Header

I get crazy sometimes with my blog header so now I went back to my old one. My husband doesn't think it's cool to post personal pictures online anyways so I think this will suit him. I mean, I guess he has a point. A lot of predators are online these days you never know. I was okay with it for a while but then I got kind of paranoid with strangers visiting my blog.

Anyways, most people love my old header anyways and I'm sure my friend Liza who helped me with new header design wouldn't mind the change.

My Comments Section

Hey there my blogging friends,

I'm sorry I had to start moderating my blog comments. I've been getting some spam comments on my entries lately from sites I don't know.

I may have to install a new commenting system on here, like my other blog. I think that one is better in controlling spammers who visit and leave comments on blogs.

Page Rank Woes

I'm a little disappointed with my two active blogs' Google page rank. My other blog was a PR 3 after only 3 months since it was created. It was listed
under the Top 100 Money Making Blogs (not on top 100 but fairly close) when I had it listed, and now it is down all the way to PR 0! Ugghhh! I'm mad.
It seems like this never-ending 'Google wrath' on blogs accepting paid posts is getting way out of hand. I can't believe they would do that to my blog.
Then yesterday, this blog is down to PR 0 also from a PR1. Gosh. So now I'm starting to think how I'm going to get my PR's back. It is disconcerting.

I'm sure if you've been blogging for PPP like I do this happened to you too. What have you done to get your PR back for your blog or website?
